Such a gem! Lovely staff made us feel very welcome, gave some great recommendations and then knocked it our of the park with fresh naans, and some delicious curries. I normally don’t like korma but we ordered one for the table and it was incredible, so full of flavour! Will be going out of my way to come back and try some more of the menu! The food was delicious and each dish is plenty for one person. Staff friendly and attentive. The best butter chicken, good curry, not pricey and worth the drive. Will be back next time I am in NZ.
Cosy, air conditioned restaurant for dining in or you can order takeaway. Excellent service from friendly staff. Good wine list with a selection of NZ wines. Plenty of variety on the menu and made to order. Picture is Mango Kulfi delicious.
Every meal we ordered was totally delicious and the heat of the curry perfectly balanced. Visit the Taj restaurant if you want a well priced meal with large portion sizes and great service. Thanks folks. We'll be back on our next trip.
The meals were really good, the service excellent, the place bright and clean. I know I will enjoy my meal there so I try to eat there whenever I'm in Te Aroha.
