This restaurant serves as a convenient stop for travelers between Milford Sound and Queenstown/Invercargill. The coffee is decent, and the Cajun Chicken Sandwich was enjoyable after being warmed up. The staff is friendly, and the seating area is quite spacious. Additionally, there are plenty of souvenirs available for sale, which is why many tour buses stop here for restroom breaks.
This is a great spot for a quick stop before heading to Milford Sound. I visited as part of a tour and enjoyed grabbing a coffee along with a selection of breakfast sandwiches and pies. They also prepare lunch packs here, which were perfect for our cruise on Milford Sound.
This is a great stop between Milford Sound and Queenstown. The coffee is quite good, and the restrooms are clean.
Good soup of the day. Rest of the dishes were mainly fried and not too tasty but good enough for a cold and windy day.
I had a really great time here due to the alpacas next door! The food was ok though. I got the hotdog and chips since everything else seemed overpriced which was ok (I was surprised to get a fried sausage instead of a hotdog in a bun though, but maybe this is an NZ thing? . I also got a flat white which was ok. The real highlight was feeding the alpacas next door. The cafe doesn’t really advertise it but the neighbouring fences have signs about alpaca food and you can ask the cashier to buy some. The alpacas were on the far side of the field but I shook the bag of food and they came running over! I spent $2 on alpaca food and though it was a great deal for the experience!
