I've read some poor reviews here but I've never had a bad experience at all. Service may be slow at times but that's not unusual in similar venues in these Canary Islands. My partner and I have eaten here several times and stopped for the occasional refreshment, all good. Prices are very reasonable here, staff very friendly and approachable. What User doesn't like about La Buhardilla:
Quite expensive place for what it offers. A black golden beer for 3.15 seems really abusive to me, as does the Alhambra, quite expensive. The bathroom is unlatched and quite dirty, and on top of that the girl at the bar has the nerve to tell you to call first before entering the bathroom (in a not very friendly tone), when the most logical thing is that a restaurant bathroom has a lock inside. The waiter who served u... View all feedback.
I will try to make the criticism as constructive as possible... The place is privileged, it is in an unbeatable area and has great potential to be a very good business, but many things fail. To start the service. They have served us in a very bad mood and reluctantly. Personally, I am a person who does not find it difficult to say thank you for everything, but when you never receive anything in return, it becomes tiresome, so much so that even when we left, we said thank you and said goodbye and they ignored us. . It's a shame, but good customer service is essential. Continuing with the menu, we asked for a menu and they told us that they only had what was written on a blackboard but it turns out that they were serving dishes that were not on the blackboard, so we asked and they answered that yes, they have other things. We order papa locas and ask if they have sandwiches, they tell us yes, we ask what they have and they answer “whatever you want” that is, you have to guess the menu!! Food. First they get confused and send the sandwich to another table, the other table complains, logically. The waitress brings the sandwich already touched by the people at the other table and asks if we had ordered it. Of course, he never took an order from us, it's normal that he has no idea who ordered what. Then, the crazy potatoes. I'm sorry to say this like this, but the dish seemed like a mixture of things chosen at random, mixed together to get what's left. In my life a dish had produced me so much ! Everything on the plate seemed spoiled. We haven't been able to eat it. Finally, the establishment. Everything is very dirty, the floor full of rubbish and papers, many flies... It's a real shame, because an experience that could have been good has turned into a hassle and leaving the place in very bad taste... I hope you appreciate the criticism you give them, and can improve all this!
The red mojo can be greatly improved, the skin of the pepper is chewed.
Lovely area with a sea view. the staff was friendly and kind. The food was delicious. Would very much recommend if your in the area
Staff was unkind, even rude. I asked for an orange juice, it was the worst I 've ever had, when asked about the restrooms, the person gave a look kind of now, what on hell do you want to go there? and showed where they were with her head, she didn 't say a word. We had to ask twice for the bill. There are so many other places in Puerto de Tazacorte, so if you can, avoid this one.
Excellent arepas! More casual than right in front of the beach. And they are open, despite what TripAdvisor says... the kitchen closes at 10 pm.
