We ordered three family nacho kits online yesterday for a birthday party. They were well joined together and definitely I felt a good value. (I have actually ordered too many because you can never tell about the suggested portion sizes. And although I called for a busy time to make a small change of order, everything I asked and I appreciated the good service on a very busy Saturday. Thank you. Moes staff and managem... What Preston R doesn't like about Moe's Southwest Grill:
Usually faster to drive to the Haywood road location and eat rather then wait. The employees are never the quickest to serve everyone. To be honest it seems like they usually just have to many employees on the line cooking making things slower. But it shouldn’t take me 30 mins to get my burrito made when only one couple in line in front of me. View all feedback.
The manager is always very friendly! My son enjoys coming here as his special choice of the week, so we visit often. However, we do miss some of the topping options that were recently removed, which means my wife is left with just chicken, cheese, and lettuce on her $10 quesadilla.
It seems that my experience varies depending on the day. I typically place a large order, and the staff consistently handles it well with patience. However, the southwest vinaigrette could use some improvement; it's not always up to par. It should always be made fresh and include fresh cilantro. When preparing the cilantro, it’s important to use a knife instead of a tomato cutter. Using the tomato cutter can cause the cilantro to wilt and spoil quickly, as it essentially bruises the herb and accelerates its breakdown.
The food bears little resemblance to the photos displayed. It's not even close. Just a heads up—the experience here can feel like a gamble. If you're willing to take the risk, go for it and see for yourself, but I found it to be very inconsistent. I got fed up with the 50/50 chance that things might improve on my next visit. Seriously, it's frustrating. I'm open to giving a 4 or 5-star rating if they acknowledge the time I spent getting there and back home by replacing my burrito.
EDIT: this post was originally a 1 star. I have since changed it as the owner has reached out and made things right with me. I did not want to hurt business for him so I have decided to update my review. Ordered to go food on the app and when I got there I checked the food and it wasn’t made correctly. I asked it to be remade. Paid for queso it wasn’t on there. Called to talk to a manager and she was very rude about it and said she would refund me. Never got the refund. This place needs better managers and for someone to take pride in the appearance of the store.
I don’t ever leave reviews, and the only reason I’m leaving one today is because of how bad my to-go order was. This is straight out of the foil that they wrapped it in. The insides were spilling all inside the bag and it was completely falling apart. I usually have okay experiences here, but this time was way worse than normal. I’m just super disappointed, and for a $27 dollar meal for two, the service and food should be better than this. It’s going to be a while before I go back to this location.
