Excellent food and service. Staff very friendly. Very impressed with very extensive menu for food and beverages. Prices reasonable also. Will definitely dine again and will recommend to others. A great find in Tawa. View all feedback.
My family and I dine here often, at least once a week. I have pretty much tried the whole menu and have not been disappointed. Yum Yum house is definately Tawas best eatery. My family and friends from overseas always dine here when they visit. It's quaint and friendly. Prices are very good. Have never had a bad meal. Definately recommend this place.
Eaten in and now our regular takeaway for Chinese really nice good value meals. A bit of a shabby feel for eating in, my advice would be to not take anyone you want to impress but is great for a mid week meal or a low stress no dishes night out. Will keep coming
We have visited many times but about a year ago there were service problems, and then the BYO licence was cancelled. We were disappointed with the unlicensed version when we tried it, poor service and uneven food quality.Last week my wife and I returned, and what a difference!Very pleasant service from the young waiter, and a very good menu. This restaurant has all the usual Chinese dishes like Stir Fry, sweet sour, sizzling plates, etc, plus starters like won tons and spring rolls. From past visits we know that they do these meals to a high standard. This time we tried a delicious garlic squid entree, wonton soup which came in a tasty stock with good dumplings, followed with crispy Skin Chicken with 5 spice and a great Beef with Ginger and Vegetables stir fry. This had slices of ginger and a nice range of lightly cooked vegetables. The cost for the meal for two was about $50 including BYO corkage. Great to have this restaurant back and working well!
Visited on a while based on a web search. The menu is extensive as can be seen from the images. We ordered pork stir fried with ginger sauce, seafood tofu hotpot and sizzling steak with black bean sauce.<br/ <br/ The meal came with complimentary rice.<br/ <br/ A free starter of fried shrimp chips was served first. While they were tasty they were a bit oily.<br/ <br/ Portions were large but the dishes were over salted. A bit less salt and they meal would have been excellent.<br/ <br/ Cost was reasonable being $51 for the three dishes.
Food was good we had roti chanai, dim sims, squid for starters. Schzuean pork, fettucine and chicken and cashews for main. All really tasty. My daughters serving of fettucine was so big however that we all had it for lunch the next day too! They did seem a little disorganised, a few people came in who said they'd booked but the staff didn't seem to know. So a bit of shuffling of tables and chairs. And we weren't offered a second drink when our empties were taken away which was a bit odd, but I think one of the waitresses was very inexperienced. When price and food are great though, I don't worry too much about the rest.
