Key West Resort On Lake Dora Tavares

Everyone should stay there at least once. It is the luxury for the those that like it toned down a bit. Spacious rooms. Friendly and accomodations staff. You can actually meet the owner...He will actually help you with your luggage. I love the hands on approach..

Very large room with a great view of the lake. The entire area is very quaint and beautiful. I enjoyed my stay and plan on returning.

Suggest reading other reviews on this place to see patterns.Not super happy with this place.Absolutely the rooms were clean, decent sized and all amenities worked well (shower etc) but the decor is old and there was a continuous dampness that I could not put my finger on. Kind of like a humidity in the room. For example my shoes would feel very slightly damp putting them back on.There was a cheapness to everything that seemed to be trying to sell itself as an upgrade.For example breakfast was included but it was all cheap pre wrapped, pre packaged, pre processed foods of debatable nutrition. See the pic of breakfast items.I drove to a diner the second day so I could have eggs and better coffee. The tables and chairs were the portable plastic type.The staff asked me for a credit card for incidentals and I thought they meant for a mini bar and snacks but it was for damage that you or your pet do to the room.I didn’t stay in the main building so I can’t say what the quality is like in those rooms but I feel it is completely misleading to have the word ‘Resort’ in the name.Maybe the main building is nicer?Had a few bugs in the room could hear music from the bar downstairs but it was not bad enough to stop me sleeping on the 3rd floor.I would not stay here again given this experience. I paid about $260 for 2 nights.

Do not plan to sleep here. There is a bar on premise that currently had 9 people in it but has music blasting for blocks. Called the front desk, they will be that loud until midnight. You can not escape it in any of the three buildings. It is not a resort, it is a night club with rooms upstairs.

It is a good place near home and has a couple of brewsky tourist attractions that's great to meet new people met a Ukraine women interesteing.
