What User likes about Le Silex:
For late October Tautavel offered an uncharacteristic variety of open restaurants for lunch. The English speaking proprietor/chef explained the plat du jour which turned out to be a fantastic lunch with imaginative egg/foix-gras starter, main of beautifully cooked steak in tomato sauce with potato/veg timbales and pistachios panne cotta for desert. I took my sisters and friend to this restaurant where we have had many good meals in the past. It was full, and it was hot! Service was good, in the circumstance. Everyone except me ordered the entrecote, and none of them managed to chew...the meat. It was either handed back uneaten, or half chewed....but no apology or explanationwas offered. The full 23 euro for each staek was charged. We left utterly dissatisfied.... View all feedback.
