Ruk Thai - Tauranga

Simply the best thai in the region. authentic, perfectly balanced aromen. I didn't have better Thai food than that. .by region I mean oceania.

Most tasty, delicious Thai food... mouthwater. thanks chefs snd also in front of house coz service is excellent. soou lucky ruk thai is our local. many thanks again and can not wait until the next time!

We had take away, so can not really comment on the atmosphere, but love people, great service, even better eating! we have picked up one of our regular farewell roaster. yum!

We have had food eating here and takeaway. Generally of a decent standard. Most recently we had takeaways on Sunday. The food was the tastiest thai we have had in Tauranga, it was great. Massaman beef, pad prik pork and prawn pad Thai. The one issue we had was the servings of rice. They were pitiful. I went back into the shop after showing the whānau in the car and got told that is a standard serve. We have photos below to show how small the serves were, so much so we were able to move the two serves into one container. If they are going to skimp on rice, at least reduce the amount of packaging they are using. In having said this, the actual mains were of a decent size so I guess the moral of the story is cook your own rice or order twice or three times as much as you would normally expect.

I always enjoy the thai food whenever it rains because I feel like to have warm soup and fried rice. Pod Thai and noodle soup is best.
