Not the best experience. Front house staff were unfriendly and seemed grumpy. Coffee was slow to arrive and others received their drinks ahead of me although I had arrived and ordered first. Great place very impressed. Purchased a coffee and a custard slice to go. The coffee was one of the best in town. Unfortunately the custard slice was very bland. Good consistency but just no flavor. Regardless, the rest of the food, made right there on the premises, looks SO appetizing and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing with a warm, smiling greeting as you enter. No hesitation in recommending Café Essence. The owners and staff can be rightfully proud of their little Café.
