Volcanic Kitchen - Taupo

As a huge fan of Indian cuisine, I must say the food here is fantastic. However, I must express my disappointment regarding the wait time. We waited precisely an hour for four dishes, and no one came to explain the delay or check on our needs. It seemed like this was their typical waiting time, as I noticed others who arrived at the same time were left waiting for about the same duration, if not longer. What struck me as particularly frustrating was that some customers who arrived after us received their orders before we did. This felt quite unfair. We also had to ask for our water and napkins, which didn’t arrive automatically. Each time we inquired, the staff apologized with friendly smiles, but I wondered if that was sufficient to address the situation.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant! We ordered the Nepalese Chatpate, Chilli Momos, and Chicken Lollipops, and we were blown away by the vibrant flavors and freshness of the Chatpate! While you could certainly choose naans and other dishes, I highly recommend trying the starters if you're looking to experience something unique and delicious. We can't recommend the Chatpate enough! Additionally, we want to thank you for the exceptional service – it was clear that other diners were just as pleased with their meals and the high standard of service!

The food was exceptional, with divine flavors and aromas. The portions were generous. Our waiter was charming and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy Indian or Nepalese cuisine.

Amazing yummy food, loved the momos and chicken lollipops very authentic great service and definitely worth a visit if passing through Taupo

Service was nice, food was ok. The hot and sour soup wasn’t sour at all, mango chicken was too sweet and no salt, Vege platter was good except onion rings. Pudding was delicious, and awesome cocktails.
