Due to a stressful day, we arrived at the restaurant at 8:54 PM without a reservation. The kitchen was closing at 9 PM, but they still accommodated us and served us two sizzler dishes - one with gammon and one with chicken skewers, both of which were excellent. What DIRK M doesn't like about The Stonegallows Inn:
I ordered the "super breakfast" but unfortunately found the meal to be inedible. The beans were cold, the bacon was burnt and oozing black fat, the mushrooms were cold, and the hash browns were lukewarm. On top of that, our coffees were forgotten. Great service, friendly and efficient. Team leader on duty very helpful. Food came out hot and it was very nice.

Came in before and was exceptional. Decided to come in with my family and wow, come again hungry horse smashed it out the park. Staff were so friendly and helpful and young man on bar was a delight could talk to him for hours, such a gentlemen and so likeable . All three of the waitresses couldn’t have been more polite and kind during a busy lunch period. We had the steak sizzler, scampi, chicken New Yorker and the sea bass and honestly neither of us could fault a single thing. Prices were excellent for the quality of food we have just had. Alcohol was well priced not the cheapest about but certainly not the worse. All staff working including the chefs are a credit to the team. Well done hungry horse!!!
We booked for 14 people to get together on Boxing Day each person having the festive menu! The staff were great and welcoming and also the food was plenty hot and tasty a massive compliment for the pub and it’s chain.. do not pass this pub by plenty of parking and dogs allowed too
