We’ve been visiting here for several years. The coffee shop is run by volunteers, all of whom are really nice and enjoy what they do. It’s such a relaxed friendly place to have a coffee and slice of homemade cake, and at very reasonable prices View all feedback.
What SomersetKatie doesn't like about North Curry Community:
This was a chance find on day out where we got a little lost and off the beaten track. It was mid afternoon...so what better than a cream tea? My OH had coffee and got his own little 'cafetiere ' of fresh coffee. My choice...earl grey in a one person teapot. The choice of cakes was good but we went for a scone, clotted cream and jam at a bargain price! All was served in lovely white china. Costs are kept down because... View all feedback.
We were surprised to see the community cafe still open at around 3.30pm on a Sunday, so we thought we’d give it a try. All we can say is, call in if you’re passing as the cakes are just delicious. All are home made by residents in the village who take it in turns to run the cafe. It’s so cheap as well!
Lovely lunch. Great little place. We called in as we pass weekly to visit my mum locally. Well run by friendly volunteers. Reminiscing with Liz added to the enjoyment.
We came across this wonderful little cafe today when we decided to go ‘across country’ rather than via the A358/A303 and what a great find. Lovely cakes and tea. Can recommend the almond cake! Very pleasant and polite staff too. Throughly recommend a visit if you find yourself in the area. We will certainly return when we next head down that way.
Came across this delightful community cafe by chance on our way home to Hampshire after a holiday in Somerset. Lovely atmosphere, we managed to get a table oursite in the sunshine and enjoyed this delightful pitstop to fill our stomachs. The refreshments included fresh homemade cakes but we opted for some toasties, beans on toast and bread pudding with custard. All this served by lovely friendly and accommodating people. The prices were extremely competitive and we walked away after hot and cold drinks and 2 toasties, beans on toast and bread pudding with custard for only £15
Visit this little cafe for a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of home made cake. It's run by friendly ladies who make everyone welcome and can help with local information. They also sell some attractive greetings cards as well as locally made pottery, crafts and pictures in fact it's amazing what they can fit into quite a small space.
