1st visit to Cosy Club for a works festive brunch. Beautiful building, friendly service, great menu choices. I opted for the Shakshuka but got envy at the pancakes and the cosy eggs. Great choice of breakfast drinks wish I could have enjoyed a breakfast cocktail but opted for a fresh OJ and a latte Would definitely visit a cosy club again.
What Lucy Lucky doesn't like about Cosy Club Taunton:
Waited too long for food, our order was forgotten. When the breakfast arrived the bacon was overdone, the toast was tough to chew and the sausage was oily. The waitress acknowledged our wait, apologised and gave us a complimentary drink. Can't fault the waitresses just the chef needs to stop dishing up overcooked bacon. The food was so so considering the price, better off going to a cheaper cafe or a Toby for your br... View all feedback.
It was ok, though the menu is a little uninspiring and the tone was of business people getting a quick meal
Delighted to find a separate vegan menu with plenty of choice the Thai burger is very VERY good and there’s even a non sorbet pudding. (Just the one though. Not so much choice on the tapas menu and there are no starters but there are several main courses to choose from.
Not the greatest selection of vegan foods, you have to ask for a separate menu to find the options. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about vegan food and drink alterations. The price is a little higher than you might expect for a sandwich or small meal but it is made well so it is worth it. The atmosphere is always wonderful here and even at peak times it never feels crowded, just cosy, as the name suggests.
Yes it 's pleasant enough cafe/bar, but nothing special for non-meat eaters, only has the obligatory one vegetarian choice on each section of the menu. Really think that to get on Happy Cow there should be real choices of a few more non-meat dishes.
Nice place in a really gorgeous, spacious, high ceiling victorian building in the centre of Taunton. We'd been stuck for somewhere to eat a vegan meal in the early evening and were quite chuffed to stumble across this place. Just wanted something light before the cinema. We arrived about 5pm, so there was plenty of space. The ambience was nice and cosy (hence the name I guess). The server we had could have been a friendlier, (although I am not sure that is a reflection of the place itself, since the other staff seemed friendly). There vegan menu is good, considering that this is not a vegan place. My husband had the veggie burger with chunky chips salad. I ended up having two side dishes chunky chips (couldn't decide between them sweet potato fries) and a house salad. It was inexpensive and I really enjoyed it. Was very impressed considering I ordered sides. My husband said the burger and his slaw etc. were really good. Things were served in odd shaped bowls, nicely quirky. We'd come again for sure.
