“to Tavernaki” Original Thassos Tavern

First time in this island and first dinner here! We came this restaurant because I saw their portions! We waiting a table almost half hour but there was so many people waiting also ! When we get the table it takes too long time when someone come to ask what we want to eat or drink! We ordered wine carafe and it doesn’t come so we asked again and get that wine! but they charged us for two wines! they fixed the error when I mentioned it when paying! So the food 5 but the service only 3 ! we're going to give them a chance because the food was so great and tasty! Next evening once again! There was so many customer and place was totally full but we got a table soon but waiting a food! the food was as good as yesterday! Strong recommend but make reservation! Now we have eat here three times! Yesterday we got table very soon but the waiters are running around like no one knows what to do! When we got our foods they are almost cold because the food waiting in the kitchen when some waiters bring those for us! Okay we didn’t say anything because we think that isn’t help anymore! That is very sad because earlier times the food have been very tasty and good! It helps if they organized better

Our first meal on the island was not disappointed. A beautiful set with tables covered by vines. Many tables, ok selection of foods. Fast service and friendly staff. Good English.

One of the best dinners on Thassos Island. Really nice atmosphere, cozy, friendly and warm feelings. The manager is so nice and helpful, he will come to your table to check if everything is okay to help you choose the best dishes and make your stay as beautiful as possible. The food is what you're getting back, as we did. We had dinner two times and everything was so good! Traditional Greek tavern with traditional dishes, plenty of taste and good taste. Seafood is great, appetizers amuse and safe is everything from the menu after what we tried. The house wine was also very good to combine with seafood. If you want to see how the faithful enjoy the free time and how they have good time to share food and drinks... This is the place to come. Free desserts at the end of dinner is always a beautiful surprise!

Very delicious food, I ordered the spaghetti with shrimps without tomato sauce and the boss made that especially for me, although it was not in the menu! Also great atmospheres and a good mood, love the place!

Traditional Greek food, very tasty and large portions. Friendly service and we also have free deserts from the house. Taverna is located in a small sweet street on a shade so perfect place to cool in a hot afternoon. The only thing they had few vegetarian courses as the main dish, but if you were meat eaters you would be good. Generally recommend and will come back!
