We came here a few times with friends and the food is always delicious. We went regularly to a place with very expensive sushi and thought that it was unbeatable, but honestly these food rivals, the restaurant for a fraction of the price. My wife and I are sushi purists and we can tell you that the food here is legit. Don't give up. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sushi Spot:
One and Done! Will NEVER go back again. Made us feel so unwelcome and like we were intruding. Sat at sushi bar and immediately told there was a minimim if we sat at bar. Then were told how we were supposed to eat our sushi. No Wasabi! . Whatever. Dining experience terrible due to unwelcoming and unfriendly, snobby woman sushi chef. Spend over $100 for 2 people left hungry and totally unsatisfied. View all feedback.
Our goto spot for years. Not a place for giant rolls, but for simply and deliciously done sushi. The Chef’s Choice dinner is very reasonably priced for what you get.
This place has been here forever and there’s a reason why. The fish is exceptional and the warm, flavorful rice put it over the top. Some of my favorites include the yellowtail sushi, Spanish mackerel, scallop sushi, halibut sashimi with yuzu, spicy tuna on crispy rice cake, blue crab hand roll on soy paper, the calamari and well…basically everything is great. Also the prices won’t brake the bank. I recommend making a reservation.
Sushi? This is the spot! If you're in the hunt for great sushi, give them a try. Fast service and the staff is welcoming and very nice. Their Omakase is great!
One of the best sushi spots on Ventura Blvd! Always fresh, well prepared and delicious. Try the chefs omakase!
I’d skip sushi spot. It’s overrated. Crazy loud inside. Everyone obnoxiously screaming over each other. The waiter could not hear us and we could not hear the waiter. I went for a date. We had a table in the corner but we couldn’t hear each other at all. Very disappointing. The sushi is OK, but nothing special. Definitely not worth it.
