What Betty T doesn't like about Cho Cho San:
The quality and taste of the sushi has gone quite down. This place used to be really good but not sure why it just wasn't cutting it. The service is great and the staff are friendly. Dining in is easy and there's plenty of parking. They have decent dining space. The overall quality however is not the same. If you're looking for good sushi, try this place. If you're looking for amazing sushi, look elsewhere. View all feedback.
Nice people, but a dirty bathroom and low quality fish out of a freezer is not ideal for sushi or sashimi. Even their classic Japanese beers out of a bottle tasted wrong... then I realized they were selling the knock-off versions. Go figure ?Food: 1/5
Mediocre at it's best. This place was once one of best in the valley. No service. Girls are running around, only the chef who is always busy takes your actual order. Albacore Sashimi smells like an old mackerel. Too much riiiiice.The. You sir and wait till chef has a second to pass a paper to the girls to generate your check. Remember, quality over quantity. Will never set my foot in this door ever again.
Cho Cho San (Revolving Sushi) in Tarzana has been my go-to since 2005. The recipes are amazing! The flavors, incredible! I 'm writing this because I care! I 'm writing this in hopes that the current management will take note. It 's said that the customer who fails to complain is the most important customer.Again, the food is delicious! Unfortunately, there 's been too much employee turn over. The presentation isn 't what it once was. The portions have gotten smaller. Over time, the best sushi artists left with no forwarding addresses. When the conveyor broke, they stopped getting it repaired. This brought down the already lackluster ambiance. If I 'm bringing sushi home for guests; I will go to the Encino location and have them make the food Tarzana style . Other people do this as well because the Tarzana location is FAMOUS for being the best!I sincerely hope that this place turns around.
Go to sushi spot in the valley and only because the sell the best 911 roll. They have great sushi in general but the customer service is trash. I've been coming here for years and it's a hole in the wall tbh but those are always the best right?!
The food is good, I order from here often. Unfortunately, they always screw up with the to-go orders, there is always something missing. Every time I call, they blame it on the DoorDash drivers! They need to put a system in place to avoid this error.Food: 4/5
