The fact that it was the most expensive dish and that they didnt really care is very unsettling, and quite unacceptable aswell. If you want to have a nice lunch, you should go somewhere else, this is just made for tourists.

We were a big group, we ordered from the night menu, dishes came out slowly, some orders really too late, with poor presentation. Waiters were very nervous, they forgot some orders. The bill was too expensive for the poor service and presentation. The good things: tasty food in a privileged location at the beach.

The place itself is kind of laid-bac... read more Firstly IOT is right on Tarragona's best beach with loads of tables outside and big glass windows to sit inside for winter. The place itself is kind of laid-back and Mediterranean feeling. For breakfast the croissants are superb and the tortilla de patatas pretty good. Today we went for lunch and whist my sandwich was nothing special, the grilled calamari was very good. Service a bit hit and miss but today a hit. Reading the Spanish-language reviews it seems the locals are pretty sniffy about the food an service, but to be honest if you love the beach it's a great place.
