The Royal Restaurant - Taree

Very welcoming and friendly staff, great food, facilities and atmosphere. the food at the bistro was fresh and delicious and the lovely lady who served us made us feel very welcome and constantly engaged with and made my 6 yr old daughter laugh while she served us dinner and dessert. the bar area had plenty of beers on tap and many screens to view sports. the fire places scattered through the place made it feel very comfortable and warm. i would definitley recommend this place for a beer or a bite. the day time view of the river out back looks fabulous.

Had the $12 lunch special Chicken Schnitzel and it was one of the best schnittys I’ve had in a long time. Nice mixed herb coating, proper chicken breast inside and came with chips, salad and a choice of gravies! The schnitty itself took up most of the plate. For $12 it was amazing, would have happily paid $20+ for it. Staff were friendly and service was fast even though they were pretty busy. Grabbed a table outside overlooking the river cracker of a spot. Definitely be back again. Probably soon.

This was an average venue with pretty good food. I had the Steak and it was well cooked and the chips and salad were really good. All in all bit of a rough venue but my meal was great.

Firstly bear in mind that it's a Pub restaurant. Very friendly staff, service was excellent. The meal sizes were much larger than we are used to, The food was amazing , and the pricing was better than fair , & extremely economical. This Hotel is a quite old and a very roomy establishment, it is clean, and sits on the bank of the River, with large outdoor verandahs overlooking the river, adjoining the very large Dining area. We will definitely dine there again....we found it peaceful and quiet. James Colbert.
