Loaded Dog Hotel restaurant - Tarago

If you need to get away from Sydney then take a drive to the Loaded Dog Hotel Tarago. Great country pub with beautiful burgers and icey cold beer. Well worth the scenic drive.

Visited the Loaded Dog at Tarago with the family for lunch on a very cold Sunday. The food was delicious, the service friendly and efficient and the log fires created a wonderful ambience. We will be back.

Four of us went for a Saturday lunch. Old building with lots of separate rooms and open fires. Three of the four meals very nice, including the lamb burger. Unfortunately, a medium rare steak came well done.Staff were friendly and helpful.A little expensive for a country pub.All in all, nice enough.

The exterior of this historic pub has always appealed to us but we hadn't previously stopped. The interior was quite appealing in a slightly run down, rustic way and the log fire was very welcoming. We enjoyed lamb burgers that were quite delicious and accompanied by yummy chips. For a while the noise from other diners/drinkers was a little overpowering but they left soon after our food arrived. The service was satisfactory and the cook presented the food with a friendly smile.

We have been coming here for years. The beers are always cold the food is fantastic (I love the Friday night specials as they are always different) and locals are friendly. High recommend a stop in if you are every passing by
