We loved the ice cream in a cup too. With beer and wine and a reasonable bill what is there not to like?

And yes there is a €2 coperto to dine here and no they don't mention it before you eat. But for €10 for a beer and pizza in Taormina it's hard to really complain. I think this restaurant's current average rating has more to do with all the grumpy, penny-pinching tourists that aren't used to paying any gratuity at all and spending the minimum they possibly can to dine out.
