We were already planning on leaving a good tip when the waiter suggested to us that if we had enjoyed the evening a cash tip was preferred. We felt mildly uncomfortable with the request for a tip and although we did leave what we planned to it just took the shine off the night

The restaurant started us of with a amuse and some of the best bread we've ever been given. The dishes were presented beautifully and tasted superb. The paired wines complimented the food. The explanation with each wine and why it was paired to the dish added value to the experience. Compared to the prices in Taormina (we stayed here 10 days) they are not expensive. If you are in Taormina we recommend this restaurant. It is next to the park only 5 minutes down the stairs of the centre and worth the walk.
