While passing by and looking at the menu, waitress understood that I am vegeterian and offered kindly their options. Rice, veggies and tofu must be ordered separately. They kindly provide info about the ingridients and know about vegan options. Food amount looked enormous but was very light after all. It even left room for a dessert. View all feedback.

I had high expectations for this restaurant after reading the reviews, especially looking forward to trying mock meats and different types of tofu. However, I was disappointed to find that the only vegan protein option available was regular tofu, and the portion size was quite small. I had to order an extra serving and pay for it. The dish also contained veggies and noodles, but I was hoping for more variety in terms of protein options. My partner, on the other hand, had a generous portion of food to enjoy. Despite this, the soup itself was quite good.

It is important to be cautious if you do not want raw meat or seafood to come into contact with your vegetables or tofu. Unfortunately, we ended up mixing everything on the same plate.
After reading the reviews, we decided to try the steamboat at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by this unique experience. This was our first time eating in this style and we really enjoyed it. We chose half Tom yam and half plain broth, with a generous platter of vegetables and various meat alternatives such as silken tofu, fake prawns (vegetables wrapped in casing), tofu balls, and tofu slices. The food was delicious and satisfying. We were impressed by the variety of meat alternatives available. Overall, it was an unexpected and delightful discovery.
The place is pretty simple but has a good variety of tofu dishes (bean curd , but not all of them are vegan. Ask the staff if you are unsure. Curry bean curd is vegan in any case, has a good taste, nice flavours and the S size is huuuge. One of this plus two portions of plain rice (for 3 RM for both if I'm not mistaken are fully sufficient for 2 persons (except you are really hungry . The Highland vegetables in oil look very simple but are sooo good (here the sizes are not that enormous, I recommend size M , but beware: there's a lot of garlic in it!! (probably one of the secrets for the taste . Prices are very low, more than appropriate for the quality and sizes. So if you are not looking for a fancy dinner (good luck with that in Tanah Rata give it a shot. Worst that can happen is that you loose 10-20 RM per person.
