Came for the Tuesday 2 for 1 meals. ordered two medium rumps and they were perfect with a nice charcoal on the outside. Paid $15 for two rumps chips and salad, you cant go wrong. Nice friendly service and prompt delivery of meals. The loss of one star was based on ambience, was expecting more for such an old pub and bistro area was on concrete. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Court House Hotel:
We had a freshly prepared meals which were tasty and reasonably sized. The salad needed dressing and please don't throw freshly wet washed lettuce onto plates. My fish was over cooked and there was limited amounts of chicken in the salad. View all feedback.

Ok the pub food scene in Tamworth in the last twelve months has quite (IMHO) gone through the roof all the outlets I have visited have been reviewed, and the competition is fierce, although the population base helps. So after the arranged venue was crowded with Santas we opted for the Courthouse table of 8. Out the back where the atmosphere is deadset zero... my wife and I had coconut prawns which were deep fried about 30 seconds too long. So you get the idea, service was bright and cheerful by an all male waitstaff. They tried on a number of occasions to serve meals we hadn't ordered so I put that down to enthusiasm. The gal next to me had ordered beef Wellington which was the last meal served. She said the meat was fine & tender but felt the pastry when added in with the mashed potato it would be too heavy in her gut. My thoughts on that were well what did you expect it's a trad meal! Anyway give em Six months and the new owner and chef should have the wrinkled ironed out. We visited after a family funeral, not that we were down about her loss she had a good run, but for me personally out the back is crying out fir some TLC in terms of decorating and so on so, we shall see. Enjoyable catching up with the family as ever
In town for work, not the most beautiful pub in the world, though the publican and staff always friendly. Simple pub menu, but large serves and always done well. I've only been mid-week and it's never busy so I've not waited long for food at all.
Bistro in the courthouse hotel pub. Shocking dinner. Up for an Oztag tournament and a couple of us got in early, got orders in and then over an hour wait for food. This was very basic meal pork chops and salad. Other boys got mixed up orders, wrong food and then they even run out of food. Understand they were probably busier than normal but will never return after this bad experience.
