In May of 2022, I paid a visit to Tamworth only to find it closed (guess I could/should have checked their hours), but I finally made it back this past July and couldn't have been more satisfied with the whiskey I sampled. Like other reviewers, I wish they offered (more) food (minus one star) and were open later, but I recognize the limitations of being a distillery in a small town. All in all, a great place to visit... View all feedback.
What Dominick Scianandre doesn't like about Tamworth Distilling Mercantile:
Beautiful location, great place to sample by the brook. Tastings were solid, in time good competition for New York bourbon but a ways to to meet Kentucky. Disappointed, prices weren't clearly posted. Paid $100 for their 7 year bourbon. Although Bottled in Bond, widely overpriced. Didn't want to embarrass lovely staff with pricing. Bought it, will drink it but not a find. View all feedback.
We booked a private cocktail class with friends for my husband’s birthday. The class was held at the Lyceum and was amazing! They provided a charcuterie board for us to snack on while we learned about 3 whiskey cocktails (my husband’s favorite). Corrine was our instructor and did an awesome job. She taught us the history of whiskey and how to choose the right ingredients to make a good cocktail. After the class was over, Riley let everyone try a few samples of the different liquors, which was great. We all had a lot of fun and would definitely do it again!
It was enjoyable stopping here.they have some awesome products. I liked the venison infused liquor and the trout infused liquor was really different and great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend checking out their products
Very impressive distillery producing quality products. Their tasting menu and service is excellent. The property is also beautiful. Very enjoyable visit and will definitely return. Thank you

No food! That is why only 4 stars but otherwise, worth the visit. Great place to do some tastings and then walk down the block to a bakery that serves lunch and sweet's.
