On the second floor, there's a woman who cheers loudly for every race on TV and talks over the diners at her table, which can be quite distracting. Also, I don't understand why there aren't any machines to deposit winnings. I use the betting machines, so it seems inconvenient to have to deal with snarky comments about tips from the waitstaff. Unfortunately, that happened during my visit!

I've visited frequently a... read more Always a great day at this restaurant, but there's one issue that stands out. Some of the employees at the front are quite unpleasant. I've visited frequently and it seems to be a consistent problem. It's clear that they aren't enjoying their work and it's affecting their attitude towards customers. Some of them seem to be too old for the job and would be better off retiring rather than taking out their frustrations on patrons. Others seem dissatisfied with the career path they've taken. In my opinion, this behavior is unacceptable and they should consider letting these employees go.

It seemed to purge every solid and liquid trace of food from my system. I felt so cleansed afterward that I could probably go in for a colonoscopy right away! I can't speak for the other food at the venue, but beware of the Viennese hot dogs with cheese and jalapeños!

I got a straight one and tie the dealer and was not paid on the rides betting as I would have. For example, Derby Lane pays this bet regardless of whether you win or lose the bet. It's a separate bet. Total ripoff! On another note, lighting is bad for a poker room. They use glowing lighting that causes a look at the cards that they see hard from certain angles.

We are novice gamblers but they provided a beginners guide for the gambling lingo and a pro tip sheet for placing a bet. The bet can be whatever amount you want. We stayed at the $1 bet levels because we are new to this. Highly recommend! It was a lot of fun.
