Reviews - Thai Ruby
Reviews summary
Ruby Thai offers a blend of experiences, highlighting both culinary highs and frustrating lows. While many patrons sing the praises of flavorful dishes like red curry and panang curry, others express disappointment in portion sizes and inconsistency of flavors, particularly with certain appetizers and sauces. Service is generally friendly, although some diners felt rushed. Cleanliness and a cozy atmosphere contribute positively to the overall vibe, making it a local favorite. Ultimately, Ruby Thai appears to be worth a visit, especially for their standout dishes, but diners should tread carefully with their meal selections.

We were 8 people and we celebrated my birthday. This is the first time I've been to this restaurant, and boy were we all happy to have selected this place?! The dishes we ordered were phenomenal. They were delightfully delicious. The place is super clean and magnificent. Staff is super friendly and courteous. I can say that Ruby Thai is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Give them a try!
Thai Ruby, When we arrived the place was empty. So I was doubting our date night selection. We were promptly seated and water was served. We looked over the menu and tried to decided. It was great food . ..order mild not medium. If you want something with spicy. Service was great. It began to get crowded as the evening when on. They had several carry outs as well.
Great service and food, flavorful ingredients with quiet relaxed atmosphere. Local favorite spot. My favorite is the Pineapple or bamboo Curry or the seasonal pumpkin.
First time trying this restaurant. Food was extremely fresh and good. Wait staff very attentive. Panang chicken was amazing.Food: 5/5

I visited Thai Ruby after a tough day and had a wonderful experience. The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The excellent service and attentive care made the dining experience even better. The soothing and relaxing ambiance was exactly what I needed. I tried the roasted duck, which was incredible—I rarely eat duck, maybe once before, so I'm really glad I gave it a try. I also enjoyed the black pepper beef. The menu at Thai Ruby offers fantastic options that I highly recommend.
The food at Thai Ruby is incredibly delicious, especially the red curry. While you can't customize or substitute items on the menu, you can request to have the spice level reduced. The staff are friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience.
The service was decent, but I felt hurried during my visit. I had lunch here, and while the food was satisfactory, the portion size was disappointing—about half of what you'd typically receive at most Thai restaurants. I ordered the garlic black pepper chicken, which came with just a small piece of broccoli and very few other vegetables. I left still feeling hungry.
This is the best Thai food in all of Tampa! I've tried many places, but this one consistently serves the freshest and most flavorful dishes. The food isn’t greasy, overly sweet, or bland. If you’re looking for authentic Thai spiciness, you can easily request it. The rice is delicious, and I highly recommend everything on the menu. Please support this business; I’d love to see them in my neighborhood for many years to come!
This restaurant is a hidden gem for truly delicious authentic Thai cuisine. Start your meal with the Larb Gai, and you’re guaranteed a wonderful experience!

This place is a hidden gem for delicious authentic Thai food. Get the Larb Gai to start and you can't have a bad experience.
Service was ok but I felt rushed. Had lunch here, and while the food was ok, the portion was horrible, about half of what youd get at most Thai restaurants. Got the garlic with black pepper and chicken, only one piece of broccoli mixed in with minimalveggies. Was still hungry when I left.
First of all, the bathrooms didn't have any soap. Second my eggplant dish should've been dished in the trash. The fried eggplants were not crunchy and when I dug in to eat the eggplant by itself, it was very disappointing. The peanut sauce wasextremely SWEET, not edible to me. The soup was mediocre at best. The steamed rice was good, but less by itself . BTY, myfriend didn't like her food either. She said it looked much better than it tasted.
This is the BEST Thai food in all of Tampa. I have tried so many places and this is time and time again the freshest and most flavorful. The food is not greasy, overly sweet, or bland. If you want real thai hot you can request it. Their rice is deliciousand I pretty much recommend everything on the menu. Please support this business. I want to see them in my neighborhood for avery long time!!!!!

The food is incredibly delicious, especially the red curry. While you can't customize or replace any items, you can request a milder spice level. The staff is friendly and helpful.
This is undoubtedly the best Thai food in our area. The dish on the left is sweet and sour chicken, while the other one is panang curry. And make sure to order the Thai tea!
Excellent lunch. Superior selection of meals with an abundance of sides and main meal selection for an extremely decent price. Service was welcoming and on spot. Would highly recommend this establishment for Thai food enjoyment.
This has been my favorite restaurant for the past 10 years. I used to live closer, but now I’m willing to drive 30 minutes just for their red curry chicken. Their curry Rangoons are incredible, and I haven't found anyone else that makes them quite like this place! I’m not one to share my order. The portions are generous enough that I can easily split my meal into two. I like to pour the rice into the sauce and let it soak overnight, then enjoy it cold the next day. I was disappointed to find out they’re not selling extra sauce right now, but I completely understand their reasoning.
