Sushi Yama - Tampa

That was quite an experience! The food was fresh and the service was quick. The portions were generous, allowing us to sample a variety of dishes from the menu. The noodles were especially delicious! We visited with a large group, and they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. The drinks were fantastic as well. I will definitely be coming back!

I saw the waitress drop my sushi right in front of me, take it back to the sushi bar, speak with the manager, and then return it to me. The manager then approached me and informed me that it was the wrong order, before taking it away. I was given another sushi roll, but it had the same tear in the seaweed wrap as the one that had been dropped. During my last visit, I received raw meat (which I have a picture of). I won’t be returning.

I came here without realizing it was a buffet. Technically it's not called a buffet because you don't get up and serve yourself, but it's essentially the same. You have unlimited food for $26/per person, just have to order it through the waiter. Also, if you order too much and don't eat it then they charge you a fee. What's nice about it though is that the portions are small, so it's hard to over order. Pros: friendly staff plenty of parking unlimited food Cons: food is average: clear soup didn't have flavor calamari over cooked Snow White roll was good harumaki/pot stickers was average cucumber salad was good they charge if you don't finish your food Overall experience was pleasant, but I come mainly for the food and it was average. However, I guess I can't complain since it's a buffet and they can't have the best quality with unlimited orders.

I was really hesitant to come here at first since I'm new to the area but once I came in the front doors I was sold. The atmosphere was fantastic, the servers and staff were absolutely delightful and the food absolutely amazing as far at taste, price and presentation. I would give this place all of my future sushi money if I lived closer. I can not praise this place enough. Their menu is amazing, their seating areas are well kept and their sushi bar is flawless. I would give 10 stars if I could. Absolutely amazing and I will 100% visit again as soon as I get the chance!
