Shundra's Soul Smokehouse - Tampa

My daughter and I decided to try this restaurant because we were drawn in by the amazing smell and were very hungry. We ordered mac and cheese, ribs, coleslaw, cornbread, and banana pudding. Unfortunately, our experience was terrible. The coleslaw was gray, the ribs were lukewarm and not flavorful, and the cornbread was the worst I have ever tasted. When I tried to break a piece, it crumbled on my plate and tasted like a dry, raw piece of white flour. We were extremely disappointed with the food.

This is THE place for pure good old fashioned melt in your mouth food!!! Delicious to the last bite. Food is steaming hot and so is the owner! Definitely worth the time to stop by and try this place out. You'll be a fan in minutes.

Oh man, this was delicious. I got the brisket sandwich and collard greens, the meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. The collards we're flavorful and not too salty. Kids got the brisket stack and my wife got the hot mess pulled pork, everyone was full and satisfied. We'll definitely be back!

All the way from KY?and this place did not disappoint! Mac and cheese so good my eyes closed and rolled back up in my head. Ribs so tender they fell off the bone. I didn?t even use a lot of sauce because the meat had enough flavor to carry its? own. Hospitality so amazing I couldn?t help but want more. I will return in the future and I encourage you to do the same.
