I would give this place 1000 stars if possible! The food and drink selection is incredible. The atmosphere is lovely, and the owners truly go the extra mile to ensure a wonderful experience. The dinner is exceptional, and I hosted a large brunch party on their outdoor patio that was an absolute delight. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! View all feedback.
What Eric Weinstein doesn't like about Rome Fig:
Professional service in a very nice atmosphere. The food however needs a lot of work. Foundations make a good flavors possible and the dishes were lacking. Risotto was bland, as if it had been simmered in water instead of a stock the day before and was reheated to order. I added 4 jumbo shrimp at $5 ea. which were average at best. For any price it was a letdown let alone for $38. View all feedback.
The Food and service is exceptional. Hosted a retirement party here and EVERYTHING went smoothly. Thank you all so much for the quality food and amazing service. If you want a lovely dinner in Tampa definitely check out Rome+Fig
Pros: great atmosphere. They have a really nice patio and the inside is very chic. They also were able to sit our party of 7 when we got there (10:30am) without a reservation for brunch. Food menu is themed as a global array of options so there are avariety of different foods. My friends raved about the pancakes, grits, and grilled cheese. It?s also in a cute neighborhood. Wesaw a yoga studio doing morning outside yoga nearby. Cons: avocado toast was not the best. The bread was really thick andseemed to not be toasted. Also, I ordered a cappuccino and when the bill came I saw they made a ?double? cappuccino. I thoughtit was pretty strong for a cappuccino when I was drinking it and so it made sense when I got the bill so just be weary of thattoo!
Everything was outstanding! We would highly recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. We especially recommend The wings and scallops!
Bottom Line: Skip this place and cross the street to Willa 's for great food, drinks, and service.Completely Weird Experience: The wife and I popped into Rome Fig last night for a drink. When I stepped up to the bar, one bartender looked up at me and then went back to wiping down the bar area. Another bartender returned from the kitchen area and started working on the register. Neither said Hi or asked what I would like not a word.I stood at the bar for about 15 mins. At that point, one bartender placed a menu on the bar in front of me didn 't look up and didn 't say a word. At that point my wife and I just left.Like I said: Completely Weird Experience.
Lomo Saltado was tasty but small. Risotto was subpar. Old fashioned was 10/10.
