There are not enough stars to reflect how absolutely amazing the food is at this restaurant. I am unable to eat seafood, so I couldn't try any of the seafood dishes on the menu; however, the rave reviews speak for themselves. I attended a Sunday cooking class with my daughter and watched Chef William create pasta and other delightful dishes from scratch. The dishes were incredible. The chocolate mousse cake he made w... What User doesn't like about Piccola Italia Bistro:
My family and I had reservations at this restaurant. Despite its small size, it was cozy. The chef highlighted the specials and we decided to order two of them. The dishes were delicious, fresh, and served hot. However, the only letdown was the server. He seemed to lack knowledge of the restaurant's service procedures and had poor interpersonal skills. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant for thi... View all feedback.
I am reluctant to check this place because it is small and difficult to get a reservation. But to be fair, I go ahead and announce that this is the best Italian in Tampa. Sure, there are fanciers, pretty places. Piccola is simple and rustic. How to eat in your Italian friend?s 1st generation grandmother?s kitchen (please trust me, I grew up with much of it). If it is really good, really good, fresh pasta-centric Italian cuisine you are looking for, do not look further and come here. Are we sure? ve tried every well visited Italian place with 30 minutes, and we were in shock the first time we tried this place. Two boys make this incredible culinary magic. I honestly don't know how they pull it out. They are hysterical and friendly as soon as you know them and do not annoy, and they cook and serve the Italian cuisine that you do not yet know you long. Try them and you? ll see what I mean; you? ll make reservations a week in advance, every week. If I could only choose an Italian place to ever eat in Tampa, that would be no hesitation. Every appetizer and dish we? ve was tasted exceptional, they come to the table steaming hot directly from the pan about 20 feet away, and the portions are large. I grew up eating Italian with friends?s parents houses in Brooklyn and in Little Italy, with friends and family?in who know, and Piccola is there with each of them. Don't take my table!
Amazing. The best Italian food I ever had outside Italy. Amazing and fresh. Chef William is talented and unbelievable. We'll be back. And you can BYOB from wine or beer
I enjoyed the food in this Trattoria! The chef is from abruzzo? a hidden jewel that is authentic Italian food! (I was born in Italy and very selective! The place is very small. You should make a reservation.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant I found so far! Everything we tried was so good we could have eaten the plates! Chef William is also very pleasant to talk to. Will definitely be back!
This place is truly a hidden treasure. The best Italian we?ve ever had, and some of the best food we?ve ever had. Chef William is a genius. A very special experience.
