Konan's Bbq - Tampa

I had my first visit to Konan and the staff confidently mentioned that I would return. They were spot on! The food was fantastic, and the prices are more affordable than at other restaurants. The pineapple sweet tea is a must-try. I ordered a two-meat plate with ribs and sausage, accompanied by mac and cheese and potato salad. I would highly recommend placing your order in advance if you can.

I had always wanted to try this restaurant after hearing fantastic reviews, and my wife and I were not disappointed. Everything was amazing! From the chicken and ribs to the sausage, potato salad, mac and cheese, baked beans, and greens—every dish was delicious. I almost forgot to mention the pineapple tea and lemonade, which were absolutely incredible. I'm so mad I forgot to take a picture before diving in! My wife and I will definitely be coming back frequently. Kudos to the pit master, cashier, and service team—you all made a wonderful impression on my family. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Konan's is the best BBQ in the area, hands down. The ribs and chicken are incredibly tender, and the sauce is simply unbeatable. I'm a huge fan of their baked beans and macaroni and cheese as well.

This place is extremely overrated. I spent $50 for 3 meals and 3 drinks. Thats fine. However, the food was subpar. I had the chopped pork dinner w/2 sides. The mac and cheese was bland, the beans were from the can, and the chopped pork was very fatty with no flavor. The meat had to be drowned in sauce in order for it to taste like something. I recommend you find somewhere/anywhere else to go for BBQ.

Today, 11/3/23, we catered our office of approximately 50 people with Konan BBQ’s Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Mac N’ Cheese, Baked Beans, and Collard Greens! The food was delicious and everyone loved it! The owner and staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and the food was hot and ready ahead of time! They also have a Pineapple Sweet Tea that’s amazing!
