Church's Texas Chicken - Tampa

Wow! My food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The okra was absolutely amazing! The chicken was a bit too fried for my taste, but I understand that many Black Americans enjoy it that way, so maybe they were catering to that preference. The gravy was a little on the watery side, but the okra was exactly what I came for, and I was completely satisfied. I enjoyed every bite, thanks to the wonderful ladies who did an excellent job!

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Both servers completely overlooked me for about 10 minutes while they chatted about a large order. When my meal finally arrived, it was a letdown. I usually love the church's chicken, but this time the bread was stale and the chicken was tough. The French fries were soggy, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. We won’t be returning.

The experience was enjoyable overall. However, I encountered some issues with the staff's communication through the intercom. There was one instance where I had to repeat my order multiple times, and the service was a bit slow.

We ordered 2 large mashed potatoes and 1 large mac and cheese, but instead received 3 very small mac and cheese and 6 very small mashed potatoes, along with a large container of gravy. If they have a container for the gravy, why not use large containers for the other items as well? Additionally, I did not receive the extra biscuits that I ordered. I spent over $50, and while I understand I'm paying for the convenience of delivery, I don't understand why they can't get the order correct. It's not the deliverer's fault since they pick up a sealed bag.

The sweet tea had a spoiled taste, as if it hadn't been replaced in a week. The three-piece meal was decent, but I wish I had opted for the spicy version, which would have had more flavor.
