This place is amazing. I love her tacos. They have 4 types of sauces. Mild,Medium,Hot and Spiked. The hot is bearable if you are not used to season food. I love getting the spiked sauce on my tacos. There's a really good look at your senses. View all feedback.
What Reuben Hettinger doesn't like about California Tacos To Go:
Tacos were decent size, but came out forever (probably 20 minutes for 3 tacos and a burrito? and we were the only people in place), and when I got my food, it was cold. Definitely no option for me to go. Tacos tasted ok (to see through temperature), but there are many better options for way faster and comparable it better price. The staff was not very informed about the food. I asked what size the tacos were, and the girl made a tiny size taco with her hand. My taco was at least twice as big as what she showed me, and quite filled. If I knew they were so big, I would have ordered two instead of wasting money on the third. Maybe give this place another attempt and will update if it is better, but probably not go back soon.
Great food. Great people. Can't go wrong here. I always visit them when I come to Tampa

So an excellent mood, the owner is the best and friendly owner, this woman is LEGIT and really care! The best Taco place for miles, I won't ever eat anywhere else. The grouper Godzilla burrito is perfect every time. High quality food is always worth waiting, and that's always worth it! 6/5 stars
Decided to come try this place out on a recommendation from friends. Very small place with very limited parking but do have some parking available in the back. The inside is very small too...only 4 tables. Interior set up to look like a taco stand but inside. When you walk in, you go to the small little register at the front to place your order. You can view a small menu hanging on the wall by the register to decide what you want. I ordered the Original Grouper fish taco (after all the menu says this taco is what placed them on the Food Network's Diners, Drive In's, and Dives) and my husband ordered the Cali Bowl. My taco was smaller than expected...but tasty. You can tell the tortillas are made fresh! Fish was moist and not dry. Although more breading on the fish than expected menu said light tempura. My husbands bowl was better than my taco so I'll be ordering this or something other than the grouper taco next time. Mine came with tortilla chips which were made fresh and good tasting...I just wish they also came with some salsa. Giving them 3 stars based on the wait time and the fact that I had to wait for the chips after my taco was delivered because they ran out and had to fry more. Despite the place not being that busy our wait was excessively long!
