Buddy Brew Coffee - Tampa

Great food and coffee, cute space. Friendly staff. There's more indoor seating than you might expect from the outside. Very chill.

Parking in Hyde Park is an issue, that being said Buddy Brew is an adorable coffee shop that looks like it might 've been a repurposed 1920 's soda shop-turned coffee shop. Drinks are good, they have treats and a few food options, but there is limited seating and often a line which makes it feel very 'crushed ' rather than cozy and chill. Especially since you have to struggle through the line of people to get back out the door after picking up your order. Service is top notch, but due to the flow and seating issue I always get it to go and walk around or find alternative seating elsewhere.

WEAK Cold Brew; STEEP price. You can see by the photos that the cold brew is not very bold; in fact it had very little flavor —was like drinking colored water. $6 for a Cortado (with oat milk and HONEY —which is not a “flavor” is not a good value. This was literally 3 sips.

We only had time for a coffee float and it was excellent. Nice clean shop.

I absolutely LOVE Buddy Brew in Hyde Park. If you are planning on working from there, it can get busy, but I’ve never had to wait long for a table or seat at the bar. Great staff, delicious coffee, and the avocado toast is AMAZING!
