Fantastic country Pub experience, this will be a must stop at place whenever in the neighbourhood. My sons and I arrived for dinner after a long day on the road heading south as hungry as almighty and ordered three mains and two entrees. Food arrived in record time just after sitting back down from getting a pint, we were all so happy with the food quality. Rump steak was cooked perfectly and tasted superb, I will order the pulled brisket on chips every time without fail it was amazing. Younger son loved the chicken schnitzel and pulled pork nachos too! I was wanting country lamb chops and was not disappointed in the least crumbed lamb cutlets definitely met my expectations. After dinner we sat around the open fire, the comfortable old leather lounges, tartan carpet all set the mood. Top pub, as must go!
Cute little historic pub right across the railway station. The interiors are authentic and cosy. Room was good, bed was super comfortable, linen was fresh as, pillows were perfect. The shared bathroom was tidy and I never encountered another person in it. The accommodation cost was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the saloon bar, on the comfy couch by the fire. Food was tasty and good, salad was very fresh and drinks were plenty. They have a sunny and nice little garden at the back. Will eat, drink and stay here again! Thanks
Country pub in a country town. Exactly what you'd expect with a modern tap list although still tied to a major. Features Balter beers
Came back to town for the Music Festival and dropped into the Tamho to watch Ben Mastwyk and his Millions...awesome open air show on the backyard stage with a great crowd in a nice atmosphere. The organizers did well to have a beer 'servo ' outside.
