Spice Inn - Tameside

I typically do not leave negative reviews, as I believe in giving local businesses a chance to succeed. However, after my most recent visit, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant due to their high prices and poor quality. Our starter consisted mostly of salad, followed by two overpriced grey sirloin steaks. Despite being a curry house, they also offered chicken tikka. The biggest issue was the exorbitant prices - four draft soda waters cost £8, and a bottle of Coke was £2.20, 20p more expensive than the soda. Even worse, we were overcharged for drinks we did not order, and when we pointed this out, the waiter simply smirked. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The staff are fantastic and the food was glorious! We will be spending many more evenings in the Spice Inn. Every member of staff made us feel extremely welcome, and they even presented my daughter with a birthday present at the end of the night. Seven of us ate. The price was extremely fair and the food was perfect. Not one complaint from anyone. Looking forward to the monthly Live music nights!

Arrived at spice inn was looking forward to trying the place again sadly will not return, we ordered food drinks starters was excellent, main meals arrived ordered garlic nan bread recieved plain nan, onion rice was like rice pudding very sloppy, bhune curry was very spicy asked the waiter about it told me i should of asked for a mild bhune never heard of it) had to order drinks twice as they forgot to bring them. then asked for the bill when the young lad brought the bill over he stood waiting for the payment £50) my husband put the money on the plate to which the waiter asked do you want your change OMG how rude is that! we got up left sadly since its been taken over it is not the same place to eat

Had a great night food fab staff great fireworks amazing and will eat they again went with my hubby and friends to celebrate new year

This place is a really hidden gem We first tried a take out order and was extremely busy for collect so intatialy put us off as was 30 over due. However Aki was very apologetic and gave some take away drinks as a gesture. We then returned how with the food. Wow such a delight to finally find a take away where the food was amazing value and such good quality. With this we thought we'd try the restaurant and give them a 2nd chance. Wow wow wow. Food is amazing and the menue options are so verid it's unreal. Pricing very reasonable. Aki had a good laugh with us about the hic up on previous visit and was such an added touch to b remember and given complimentary drinks. This is now my new go to India its about a 20min drive compared to 2 mjn from my previous India however well well worth it. Great staff nice clean restaurant and great choice and good price.
