Lams - Tameside
Lams
Description
In the world of fish and chips, opinions diverge significantly. While some patrons rave about generous portions and excellent flavors at a cherished family-run establishment, others lament underwhelming servings and poor quality, describing the food as lackluster and the portions bewilderingly small. Customer service also takes a hit, with incidences of confrontational exchanges over unsatisfactory meals. Despite passionate support for certain establishments, not everyone shares the same taste, with complaints often overshadowing positive reviews. Ultimately, it appears that diners may need to tread carefully when selecting their next chippy destination in the area.

I ordered the lightly battered fish and the regular fish and chips, but there was hardly any fish in either dish. The lightly battered fish was mostly batter and the chips were really dry. I definitely won't be returning, as it was utterly disgusting.
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The chips seemed like they had been sitting out for a long time. While the portions were generous, it shouldn't be difficult to make crispy and delicious chips instead of a sad, clumped-together mess.
I cannot adequately express how terrible my experience was at this restaurant. The prawns in my dish were undercooked and lacking seasoning. I will not be returning.
Local chippy very nice food, been using this chippy for a while and never fails to give me a nice tea.
