When we arrived at 9:55pm the restaurant... read more Myself and my two sons made a telephone booking for a table for three at 10pm via a call around 8pm on the same night. When we arrived at 9:55pm the restaurant was completely empty of customers, just one member of staff visible. When I advised him we’d booked a table for 10pm he visibly smirked and said “I don’t think so”. Completely confused it was very evident that this booking wasn’t going to happen. This member of staff (Manager? was the rudest, most unprofessional, uncaring, annoying man I think I’ve ever met. He literally all but called me a liar, asked who I’d spoken to (when has anyone ever given their name when answering calls at this restaurant, never in my experience and I have eaten there a good few times in the past, that’s why we travelled there! We were all completely gobsmacked by his arrogant dismissive insulting attitude. After exchanging a few heated words we left. I would advise anyone to do themselves a favour and go to Herb Spice which is literally yards away from this one, service and food there was excellent. Couldn’t zero rate so grudgingly had to give it one.

I have been going there for 30 years and have tried all the other Indian restaurants in the area, but I always find myself going back to Curry Cottage. The prices are good, at £12.95 for everything, and the place is cozy and warm in the winter. I highly recommend this place, it's a great family-run business. Keep up the good work, guys!
