Only went to donate blood In my personal opinion, I think the older generations would feel quite at home, as the decor is slightly outdated for modern times, but gave a cozy and welcoming feel.
I brought my family to this restaurant for a pie lunch on Wednesday. My wife and I ordered the signature meat and potato pie, my mother-in-law had the fish pie. Everything came with delicious chunky chips and we also had some pickled red vegetables on the side. The meals were of very good quality and were only £5 each. My wife had the cookie dough ice cream pie and really enjoyed it.
As we walked past the impressive conservatory attached to the side of the historic building, we noticed the sign advertising Sunday lunches. Intrigued, we decided to check out the menu and were delighted to find a small but perfect selection for a Sunday meal. Some of us opted for the incredibly tender ribs that practically melted off the bone, marinated and smoked to perfection, while my wife enjoyed a bowl of mussels. For my main course, I selected a mini beef joint with the bone still attached, which was both adorable and delicious. I couldn't resist trying the unlimited pancakes for dessert, and even had room to sample my partner's cookie dough and ice cream. The conservatory, resembling an orangery, was a lovely glasshouse that has me excited to visit again in the summer.
