I tried the falafel dish and it was delicious. The falafel had a crispy exterior and a warm, moist interior. The restaurant is situated in a charming little space and the price was reasonable. However, I wish the portion was a bit bigger as I could have easily eaten two servings. It could have just been that I was very hungry at the time. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Papa Joe:
I ordered the vegan falafel with pita bread and it was pretty good. The falafels were really crunchy! There aren’t many seats or tables since it’s in a corner of a market place. View all feedback.
I had my best falafels and falafel wrap there, although the quality varies and sometimes they are only averaged. the pack is slightly overlapped and has too much teig. good place to take with you, but for the stay there the atmosphere is quite bad. the falafel packaging contains pickel that is exactly after my taste. you can also take hummus and dolmas. good prices. comfortable location for those who are close to harbour. the city center is also close.
We ordered the falafel pita and the falafel salad vegan. First of all, they had two signs with the menu with different prices. The one at the counter was the actual one with higher prices. Why hadn't they taken the old one down then? My boyfriend wanted hummus to his salad, but they couldn't just put it on the plate, but gave him a separate box with hummus and had to pay for it by weight. I wanted hummus in my pita as well. When we received our food they had put some white dressing on it which was made from dairy, even though we expressed it to be vegan. The guy who took our order said sorry, and we got a new pita and salad right away. But no hummus in my pita. The pitabread was dry and falling apart, and the tomatoes grainy. There might have been some communication problem between the guy at the counter and the woman making our food. Also when she handed us our food the first time, she had wrapped it up like we were having it as take away, even though we said that we would like to eat there. Both times when she served us our food she seemed angry and annoyed which made us feel not very welcome. The two stars are only for the falafel in itself, which was pretty good and crispy, and also for the service of giving us new food right away. Otherwise there is nothing positive to say really...

Me and my son really enjoy the vegan falafels they serve
Papa Joe is a small but cozy food bar which has a couple of tables and a take-away option. The location is in the harbour area, so it is a great place for those who are on a cruise.
