Mama-n-ems Southern Kitchen

Mama-n-Em's is one of our favorite places. Although we no longer live nearby, we always make it a point to visit whenever we're back in town. The food is consistently fresh and delicious!

As a hygienist at a local dental office in Tallapoosa, I often have the pleasure of going out for lunch with my colleagues, and we absolutely love visiting Mama N Ems! The food is consistently delicious. My personal favorites are the BBQ spud and the BBQ fries. Some of my coworkers are also big fans of the shrimp and chicken tacos. Since we have a tight schedule, the restaurant staff is always accommodating and ensures our food is ready and waiting for us when we call ahead with our orders.

The staff here is very friendly, and the food is excellent. The Smash Burger and Prime Rib are delicious. It's definitely a must-try!

Super cute, clean and great food for reasonable price

My husband and I went to lunch here a month or so ago. We had never been, but drove over 20 miles to get there one weekday, because of the reviews on Facebook. We got there at 11:00am when they were just opening. (I have to eat all my meals by 12:00pm. At that time, we were about the only customers. I liked that and felt welcomed by the staff. I was disappointed though to learn that they didn’t serve the delicious looking steak I came for until 4pm. My husband I both ordered the smash burgers and I have to say I haven’t had a burger made like that since my mom made them 50 years ago! Not only was our meal good, but it was served timely and I was able to be finished by 12! I only wish they would have an online menu that has a separate ‘lunch’ menu, like other restaurants have. But then again, I would probably not have eaten one of their delicious burgers (like mama made : . We plan on going back on my birthday this month! I’ll look forward to another smash burger!!Parking: We got a parking space right in front of the building.
