I have lived in tallahassee since 1997 and finally is here to eat! my man and I celebrated our 16th anniversary and chose this restaurant over a few others at this price. we were not disappointed! the brot was hot and fresh in both baskets that we got, and the diving oil was refreshingly different from other Italian places in the city. my shrimp zeke was amazing; perfectly seasoned and the right part. the filet thoug... What User doesn't like about Z Bardhi's Italian Cuisine:
Not horrible but nothing special. Veal parm was dry on the inside, oily on the outside. Marinara sauce was bland. Veal piccata was descent, sauce was tasty but smaller on the portion size. Overall it was OK but like I said nothing great. Bella Bella seems to be the best Italian food in Tallahassee. View all feedback.
I ordered the large family-style Greek salad for $16. However, the prices listed on their website don't match the actual prices. I wouldn't consider this to be family-style.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. Charlie was an outstanding server. If you haven't been here yet, you definitely need to check it out. Reservations are required, and I highly recommend making one.
The waiter, who had a pleasant demeanor and made jokes about how his tips depended on our previous experiences, lacked proper follow-up. He never checked in to see if our meals were satisfactory. In my experience at many five-star establishments, the servers consistently ensure that their guests have a great meal, service, and overall experience. I wonder if my less-than-glamorous personality put him off, leading him to assume I might under-tip or require a bit more attention, especially since I took my family of four out to dinner and my mother uses a wheelchair, which makes dining out a bit more challenging. But perhaps my needs pale in comparison to the bigger issues in the world. Despite this, the quality of the meal was nowhere near what we had experienced before, and our calls to the restaurant went unanswered. Consequently, when we passed by the restaurant tonight and my wife suggested Italian food, everyone else quickly vetoed the idea, and we opted to eat elsewhere. As for Z Bardhi, it has a unique atmosphere that somewhat reflects its pricing, but it could definitely use a refresh. However, when profits are rolling in, who really has time for redecoration? It seems that the focus has shifted, as meals that no longer justify their prices emerge from the kitchen, calls from dissatisfied customers go unanswered, and the urgency to make a profit doesn’t seem as pressing as before. Sadly, I think that our last meal will be our final visit. It’s disheartening to see some customers return to places perceived as prestigious, associating with a certain social status, as if these high-end spots are exclusive clubs. Next time, I’ll consider grabbing a meal at a truck stop instead.
Great staff, great food, what else can you ask for. I even got a hug from the owner on the way out.
I will not waste time with a lot of fluff. It was reeeaaally good. I highly recommend Z Bardhi's.
