After a short visit to Cuba, this coffee is the best! The pastries are wonderful as well as the croquets. I love Publix deli but not the Cuban sandwich there bc it is not authentic while here it is. Looks like I'm here regularly View all feedback.
What Cynthia Ferry doesn't like about Chi Chi's Cafe:
If you're a fan of Cuban food I wouldn't go here. Not too authentic and the black beans are terrible. I grew up eating authentic Cuban food and this was just terrible and over priced. View all feedback.
Large Cuban caffe with authentic Cuban food. had the Cuban sandwich and bore n cheese empanada and both were great. one of the few Cuban places in the city that offer tres leches cake, although they were out when I was there.
The pan con bistec was a bit chewy, not not terrible. The staples, croquettes and empanadas, were good. I'll give it another try... You should too!
Had the half Cuban sandwich w fries. Everything was good, wished I'd done beans instead of fries, though. Tried the guava cheese pastry and the coconut pastry... amazing! Sat outside, beautiful day, but may need more umbrellas in this heat.
A nice Cuban cafe located close to FSU and downtown. Inside, This place is small, hot and cramped. If possible, find a seat so the fan blows on you. My companion ordered the Cubano, a traditional sandwich. It was hot off the press and delicious. I ordered the vegetarian which included beans, rice and sweet plantains. The rice and beans were nothing more, and not warm either. They came with a small side of pico, which was tasty. The plantains however were Hot, too hot, but once they cooled, oh so scrumptious! They were out of flan and rice pudding , and several other items, but what was available was fresh and tasty. It’s worth a visit.
