A great place for dinner or dessert: Enjoy various dinners or desserts over a four night stay in Talkeetna. Service was excellent and friendly, even during some of the busiest times! Just walk around Talkeetna. Parking is available through most of the city. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wildflower Cafe Mainstreet Suites:
Our food was ok. We had the chicken parmesan sandwich, a burger, the halibut sandwich and the salmon caesar wrap. As we said, it was ok. We were disappointed that the wrap had very little salmon in it. But the biggest issue that we had was that we had to send two glasses back because they were dirty (one was as we got to the bottom of the glass). Also, according to the menu (we haven’t paid yet), they add an automati... View all feedback.
The food was delicious my husband and I got both salmon sandwiches and they were incredible! Service was good considering that the restaurant was filled. We loved sitting on the veranda and watching people walk on Main St.
The acidic cherry of our Alaska experience enabled Carly and the waiters on the wildflower. One of the most absurd and incredible experiences we have? ve had fed during our travels. From the moment we came to the terrace, we were greeted by staff who could take care less about hospitality, and they have a perfect reason for this kind of behavior, this restaurant costs 18% obligatory Gratity for every table. So waiters like Carly can be as rude and unbearable during your experience. We asked if we could place our order as we had already read the menu online, but it was incredibly repulsive and would just order our appetizer. Apart from that, we were never checked, nor filled our waters, but the worst we could hear the waiters about some of the chefs and their system of order. Better stay away from this place and spend your money elsewhere.
One of the worst experiences my friend and I ever had in a restaurant. We went to sit on the terrace at 2 a.m. and our waitress Carly was incredibly rude of our first interaction with her. She has not imagined, was released all the time beyond our experience and, in addition, we were able to complain to her and other waiters about the suspicious ordering system they use and their problems with the chefs. Note that there is a mandatory 18% tip on your bill at the end that you pay, although only for two. After they had asked to remove the 18% tip, they refused, and we wanted us never to stay first. It is very regrettable to come somewhere on holiday and feel so bad about your decision where you spent your lunch on such a beautiful day.
Perfect place to eat in Talkeetna! We had the best night to sit on the back deck and listen to a local musician while eating our mouth water. I decided to go with the special Macadamia recruited Halibut with Marinara Zucchini and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes, and it was worth every penny! Our waitress was a pleasant surprise, and more than willing to help us limit our decision to our order (go to many good decisions! . I have traveled to my family in Anchorage through this restaurant since we visited say they stop for at least one drink in the city! Next time we are in this way we will visit again!!
Seafood chowder was rich and creamy with nice seafood in the stew. I also ordered the halibut sandwich. Several locals advised me to try the Wildflower Cafe and that the chowder and halibut sandwich were the bomb! No lie there. It was a very comfortable atmosphere with many beer choices, informed and sweet wait staff, and just a wonderful moment on a rainy evening. I enjoyed it very much.
