H H Lakeview Bar Restaurant - Talkeetna

We almost skipped this place due to the worn-out sign on the highway, but I'm so glad we didn't! It turned out to be the best burgers we've ever had! The service was fantastic too!

Disgusting and dark place. I can't take cigarette smoke amd the place reeks of it. It was I'm my throat amdni tasted it in my food. Can't do it again. Yuck

Great stop just off the highway! If you approach it with an open mind, you're sure to enjoy your visit. There's a lot of cool memorabilia on display, and the views of the lake are lovely. The staff is friendly, and there are some adorable dogs around as well. I really enjoyed my House burger! The prices are a bit steep (especially for the halibut sandwich), but they're generally in line with what we've paid at other places. It's a fantastic spot to stop between Willow and Cantwell.

Four out of the five of us opted for the burgers, which were enormous and delicious! The fries were some of the best we've ever had. The fifth member of our group ordered the famous bread pudding, which he raved about. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and shared the history of the restaurant, its owners, and some interesting local wildlife information. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Just a heads up: when you first walk in, it resembles an old bar from the 70s, but it then opens up to a beautiful addition overlooking the lake. It's not fine dining with white tablecloths; instead, it has a more local, homey feel, which we really appreciated.

Loved the old fashioned atmosphere! The food was really good. It was warm and the views of the lake were amazing!
