Was told by locals this would be a good place to introduce myself to black ramen, as the flavoring can be intense at some other shops. It was not as salty or strong as I anticipated and was able to finish the entire bowl! Recommend the ¥1000 yen set where you also get a rice ball and croquette!

Takaoka black ramen nice and close to the station. The staff have an english menu to make it easier to order. This style of ramen is on the salty side, so ask for a weaker soup if you think you won't enjoy it.
