The Dangerous Kitchen - Takaka

The food was ok, but the service was really what this place has settled. we were ignored when we came in when the two were talking to each other. the menus were well used and looked dirty. I didn't think the vegan options were that great for the breakfast - I had the granola and got over a teaspoon of cocosnus yogurt with it. the banana had brown pieces on it. the cabinet food looked good, but not much vegan.

Extremely overpriced pizza, do I mean $35 for a big really? it's not even that big. the same for the big salate that was only a small bowl. also it is really annoying not to have a printed menu, they only have to stand there in the middle of the way and break their neck look at the board, while an obvious annoying annoying for people and employees who go there. I like to take time to choose my food while I had a first drink, and I had my baby with me, so it was really uncomfortable.

Cool decor, was drawn by a sign with new vegan cake.' I was not disappointed, it was delicious! gluten-free scum. beautiful hearty torte with black lenses and walnuts, highly recommended!

The vegan pizza was incredible and also huge! Initially disappointed that there was no vegan cheese but you didn't need it with the great vegan sauces aioli, pesto and tahini. Lots of vegan options in the cabinet including a vegan chocolate cake which is yum. I loved the vibe here, very funky and a cool atmosphere. The only con I would say is that it is pretty expensive. Definitely a vegan go to while in Takaka/Golden Bay! I was super happy to see some vegan kai in Takaka.

Cosy atmosphere with great outdoor seating. Best range of vegan and gluten free vegan options in Takaka. We tried a pie, potato salad, apple pancakes and chocolate cake all of which were gluten free. Service a little slow but they were extremely busy. Great coffee too! Pooch was able to sit outside with us also :
