very decent food and delicious vegan sushi, they have many types of vegan/vegetarian dressing and ppl can recognize the type on the basis of the plate colors. updated by previous review on 2021-09-27 View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shuiwen:
I had witty vegan sushi. that's not that. I ate here for the new, and I have. Some are mediocre, some are good. nothing is really stellar. but I would still recommend it for fun. go with friends so they can try more teller before they are full. Vegan elements are clearly marked by green color encoded plate. really, I think they could easily veganize 95% of the non vegan item and I wonder why not? note that some of th... View all feedback.
Clear markings on vegan food. Some types are better than others, but worth a visit and you pay only $32 per dish!
Be sure to try the Fish Egg Warship Sushi . It looks like real fish eggs. It tastes even more like fish eggs because it has the fishy smell! It is actually made of konnyaku, the outer layer is made of seaweed, the color is made with spices (but not spicy). Although not everyone likes the fishy smell, it is still worthwhile to try and appreciate the handwork! visit date: 2019-03
32 per plate. Portions are small and took 9 plates to fill this guy up. Would rate this probably for Taipei not just . Fun experience though! Update: got pretty sick after eating here. Not worth the risk for me to return. Tasty, but not work the risk for me.
Loved this place!!! Okay, some of the sushi imitations aren't the most perfect match, but I can't think of a better way to do sushi while vegan than this place. Serves egg and dairy in some dishes, but labels accordingly. Not expensive, same rate as comparable non-vegan places, 30NT per plate.
I accidentally stumbled upon this place after getting lost trying to find a temple and a few other places. I gave up on even trying to find a vegan restaurant, and there this place was to save the day. The food wasn't spectacular, but it was quite good and inexpensive, and there was a nice variety of green plates (vegan options) to choose from. I ate about 6 plates of food and some tea, and it was not bad at all. The sushi options were very creative and I had never tasted anything like them before. Would definitely try this place again.
