I had dinner with my family in this cozy restaurant at shilin mrt station. the atmosphere is beautiful and the dishes are very delicious. highly recommended.
It's hard to choose, but I think that could be my favorite restaurant in taipei. almost all the dishes here are excellent. try the enoki, the veg ham rolls, the mushroom-shaped croquettes, the sesame seeds covered red beans crispy dessert ding, and the many other great dresses. the meal comes with very good pedestal tee, free. no alcohol is served. it is 5-20 minutes to foot of shilin mrt station. it will be little to no English spoken, but the menu has English, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. a previous review called the restaurant a small restaurant and a small place,' but there is also a size above that is actually much more beautiful. try to get there space, instead of in the floor level. they only open the top floor when it's too much. it is not cheap, but also not crazy expensive. we paid about 400-500 ntd per person and had some common dishes. it is still worth money, as eating is really great, and the ingredients used are high quality, as I can say. that is the restaurant that I take my friends when they visit taipei, and it is always a big hit. try it, they will not be disappointed. updated by previous review on 2019-02-03
A small place, but with a large menu, also in English and with pictures. All the dishes I have tried were well made and enjoyable. I particularly like the bitter melon with egg, but that is not for everyone.
We had a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The menu had a broad selection with many intriguing dishes. It included a stinky tofu, which we tried and found to be a very mild version. The dining room is very elegant. This was a very enjoyable dinner. The name of the restaurant is 回田蔬苑 in Chinese.
