SeouLemon at the K Alley of Food District Signatures on 5th offers freshly squeezed lemonades in a wide variety of fruity flavors. Served on a ziplocked bag, the packaging looks like your childhood doy packs, better if you can bring your reusables since by the looks of it, it is for aesthetic rather than sustainable. They'd be happy to serve your drinks on a reusable tumbler too! Drinks are freshly made, tart sweet and refreshing. Recommended.
My review is purely based on the Egg Bread or Gyeranppang I bought. It was delicious, I liked it. Yes, it’s just egg and bread but I remember seeing this in Korea a few years ago and it just makes me happy that I can conveniently buy it here. I’m a Kdrama fan and anything Korean, especially food streetfood makes me giddy especially when it’s this accessible. There’s also a slight caramelization happening on top of the bread, not sure if maybe they sprinkled a bit of sugar. The bread was soft and fluffy and it was served really warm. I actually don’t mind the “long” wait to heat it up (I was advised it would take around 5 minutes and saw the staff put it in the oven toaster), what I didn’t like was having to wait infront of the counter as the next person to be served already but the staff couldn’t take my order yet as she was also the one making the lemonade drinks for the customers who ordered ahead of me. Not penalizing them for this in my rating but just wanted to give feedback that the stall, I think, is doing well because they had a longer queue for their lemonade (which I’ll probably try next time, I had already bought a drink from another stall that time) than other stalls in K-Alley yet other some stalls had 2 people manning the booth unlike Seoulemon which only had 1. Or maybe that’s why there’s a long line?!? It’s my first time here so i’m not sure if there is always only 1 staff or maybe the other one just went on break?! A friend visited a couple of days after, also for the egg bread, and I was told she had to wait 15 minutes for it. Good thing we’re both Kdrama and Korean food fans so we don’t mind the wait if we’re not in a hurry anyway. Too bad also that they didn’t have the cheesy version of the egg bread at the time of my visit, will surely be back for it. They are conveniently located inside the spacious and airconditioned Food District on 5th which means there is enough tables and chairs for customers and lots of other choices to enjoy your egg bread and or lemonade from Seoulemon with.
Lemonade drinks are still flourishing nowadays. Its popularity is not like milk tea, but it is one of Filipinos’ staple, refreshing beverages. Seoulemon serves you fruity freshly squeezed lemonade, packed in a unique plastic container. I got the Kiwi with on-point sourness but a bit sweet even at just 25% sugar. They also have strawberry, peach, orange, blueberry flavors, to name a few. This stall also sells other authentic Korean treats like ice cream and pastries.
